Editor's Note: Loom for Teams, our Business and Enterprise plans, were released in beta on May 19, 2020. They are now generally available with the release of an all-new Loom, which delivers team features on all plans — free and paid.
Today, we’re excited to announce that Loom for Teams is in beta! 🎉
With our new Business and Enterprise plans, now your entire team can record, watch, and collaborate on videos in a shared Workspace. Here’s our Co-founder and CTO, Vinay, with a lightning-quick overview of what’s new. 👇🏻👀
Why Loom for Teams?
Used by more than 4 million people around the world, Loom has always been a great solution for individuals to record and share quick videos. Over the years we’ve observed more and more of those users naturally taking Loom to work. Today, there are now more than 90,000 companies where Loom is becoming a critical part of their communication stack.
The new features and capabilities we’re introducing with today’s beta release are based on what we’ve learned from the millions of users at tens of thousands of companies, and what those teams need to communicate more effectively and get ahead.
What’s new in the Loom for Teams beta
In our new Business and Enterprise plans, you’ll find:
A shared Workspace where team members can record, share, organize, and collaborate on videos in new Personal, Shared, and Team Libraries.
Centralized user management and Single Sign-On (SSO), for complete control over your content.
Custom Branding, so you can add your logo and change the color of the video player to match your brand on the videos you share with prospects and customers.
Engagement Insights, which tell you not only who has watched your video, but also how much they watched and the conversion rate of your call-to-action.
Video uploads, so you can quickly populate your shared Workspace with existing video content and make Loom a centralized repository for your entire company.
Companies communicating more effectively with Loom for Teams
Loom for Teams has been in alpha for the past few months with more than 50 customers, who are already using it in exciting ways. Here are a couple of our favorites:
1. HubSpot is using a shared Workspace to distribute their COVID-19 strategy internally, depending on it to deliver important employee safety communications in a way that's informative and expressive.
2. Frontify is using their new Team Library to centralize videos to onboard new hires, document processes, and align teams irrespective of time zones. Their support team, for example, is divided between New York and Switzerland — they have a "Support Team" team folder in their shared Workspace filled with quick videos that aid asynchronous communication, so they don't have to wait for a live sync to get the information they need.
