The whole point of the LinkedIn platform is to build professional networks that can help you grow beyond what you can individually.

What gets lost on this platform is that the aspiration because, ,it becomes being a content creator. Now content is just the tool that unlocks cool connections and cool conversations.

You don't need to be a prolific poster. I've been posting for years now, but I post when I want to, what I want to talk about.

And ultimately that gives authenticity. I didn't grow up in London, you know, I was born in Newcastle. I don't have a university degree.

I've never had a real job, so I don't have that strong corporate network. I ultimately don't go to startup events and I don't do face-to-face meetings.

So despite these unconventional choices, I've managed to create a world-class network that grows every single day. So here's a couple of tips on, you know, doing the same for you.

The first one, be authentic. I love to tell stories about my losses for two reasons. One, it helps people dramatically by understanding.

You know, you don't have to sleepwalk in, in a bad situation. But it also, if you can talk about your worst day and your biggest defeat in business, you come across very trustworthy.

And that's something I love. Providing value and paying it forward are critical to, my persona. I make sure that I help anybody.

I talk to anybody who wants to book into my diary and I'll always set time out if someone's got a problem.

I've got a long term vision. I'm not interested in the quick book or, get rich quick schemes. I want to meet cool people and have cool conversations and I believe in the future I'll be able to contribute tremendously to their network and I'm confident at that.

I do that by providing a, constant reminder that I'm here, I'm available and I want to work with you. The clarity of my communication is critical.

You know, I make sure that everyone knows what I'm working on and what comes next. For me what comes next is a games company that I'm going to launch constant reminder that I'm here, I'm available and I'm able to contribute tremendously to constant reminder that I'm here, I'm available and I'm able

to contribute tremendously to my brother and after that I'm going to do a climate fund here in the Bellerics. I don't have hidden agendas, I'm very clear in the way that I communicate and consistency.

I've been doing this now since 2012, 11 years. It started as a food blog and it's ended up here, so, you know, don't try and hack the process.

Find out who you really are and who you want to project yourself as online and use that as a tool to unlock connections and conversations.
